The school runs from pre-k to eighth grade with a hope to create a high school in the next few years. Enrolment fluctuates between 100-120 students with 75% local children and 25% expatriate children. Omololu’s philosophy is to create a warm community atmosphere and an academic environment that stimulates personal initiative, global intellectual curiosity, and the desire to teach students to become strong community leaders and empathetic international citizens. Responsibilities The Head of School will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of this intimate private International Baccalaureate program which incorporates the implementation of a blended curriculum and embodies the content of national and regional curricular as well as International Baccalaureate principles. The Head of School will be expected to spearhead and execute the administration of the school which incorporates responsibility for achieving goals and standards set for the following areas: Strategic Business Leadership Successfully managing the execution of the school’s mission, vision and strategic goals. Effectively managing stakeholder interests and relations including: Principal Foundation Donor and other donors, Board, Faculty/Staff, Parents, Students, PTA, Relevant Government Authorities, IB partners, Suppliers and Community Creating a positive organizational culture Educational Leadership Successfully setting standards and upholding and managing the quality and consistency of education delivered Exploring innovations and strategic partnerships in education and keeping abreast with best practices to continually enhance the educational offering Financial Management and Fundraising Sourcing and diversifying revenues streams Leading programs that will increase the annual fund Carefully managing the school’s financial wellbeing through accurate and timely budgeting and the responsible use of available funds Administration and Operations Effectively and efficiently manage the day-to-day administration and operations of the school Management of health and safety standards for relevant stakeholders Successful stewardship of the school facilities and assets Marketing and Public Relations Proactively promoting the positive branding and reputation of the school Growing and retaining a diverse student body using creative marketing strategies Human Resource Management Effectively integrating, supporting, motivating and leading a diverse and highly talented faculty Customer Care Being a nurturing and empathetic educator and counselor to all students Being an open and supportive leader to all families Qualifications A Master’s Degree in Primary School Administration or similar, supported by a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, along with at least 5 years of relevant administration experience is required. Experience in teaching or administration in an International Baccalaureate institution is a significant asset, as well as ample experience with fundraising and the ability to interact with a charitable foundation and other donors. Personal The successful applicant must be an exceptional leader and possess excellent organizational, planning, implementation, and communication skills.
