Waldron Mercy Academy seeks a long term substitute for the position of Middle School Math teacher for Grades 7 and 8 to start immediately. Waldron Mercy is an independent, coeducational Catholic school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy located in Merion Station, PA (suburban Philadelphia), serving grades PreK-8.  We are a school where the joy of discovery inspires serious study, social responsibility, and strong faith.  We teach in a socially distanced, PPE, hybrid learning environment. 

Essential Functions

• Responsible for preparing curriculum and teaching Math, including Algebra 1, to students in grades 7 and 8.
• Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
• Evaluates and grades students' class work, assignments, and papers.
• Prepares course materials such as homework assignments, and handouts.
• Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
• Compiles, administers, and grades assessments.
• Maintains contact with students and parents with regular communication and regularly scheduled evaluations.
