Assistant Athletic Trainer: Berkeley Preparatory School seeks a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2021-2022 school year. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will: - Provide coverage to an athletic department that encompasses 16 sports and 80 teams of student athletes grades 6-12
- Think independently and work within a group setting
- Supervision of Athletic Training facilities
- Prevention, care, and evaluation of athletic injuries
- Implemention and supervision of rehabilitation programs
- Provide team coverage as assigned
- Maintain accurate records of athletic forms, injury reports, notes, and treatments
- Coverage of after-school practices and games
- Comply with all Berkeley/State/National policies and additional professional responsibilities as outlined in the current BOC Role Delineation/Practice Analysis
- Some team travel as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director
- Communication with team physicians, coaches, parents, and other school officials
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
- Other duties as assigned by the Headmaster
- Reports to the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director
Core Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from an accredited CAATE institution
- Current State of Florida Athletic Trainer’s License or eligible
- Current NATABOC certification
Compensation and Benefits: The appointment is a full-time, year-round, position with full benefits.
