Assistant Athletic Trainer:

Berkeley Preparatory School seeks a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2021-2022 school year. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will:

• Provide coverage to an athletic department that encompasses 16 sports and 80 teams of student athletes grades 6-12
• Think independently and work within a group setting
• Supervision of Athletic Training facilities
• Prevention, care, and evaluation of athletic injuries
• Implemention and supervision of rehabilitation programs
• Provide team coverage as assigned
• Maintain accurate records of athletic forms, injury reports, notes, and treatments
• Coverage of after-school practices and games
• Comply with all Berkeley/State/National policies and additional professional responsibilities as outlined in the current BOC Role Delineation/Practice Analysis
• Some team travel as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director
• Communication with team physicians, coaches, parents, and other school officials
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
• Other duties as assigned by the Headmaster
• Reports to the Director of Sports Medicine/Assistant Athletic Director

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from an accredited CAATE institution
• Current State of Florida Athletic Trainer’s License or eligible
• Current NATABOC certification

Compensation and Benefits:

The appointment is a full-time, year-round, position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and the national independent school and college markets.
