Academic Support Center - Learning Specialist (SY ’21-22)

Job Summary: Episcopal High School is looking for a full-time learning specialist for the Academic Support Center beginning in the fall of 2021. 

Students who work with the academic support center have wide ranging needs and may or may not have a diagnosed learning disability. Students work in small groups or one-on-one with learning specialists to strengthen their executive functioning or increase their content knowledge. 

Learning specialists read psycho-educational reports and summarize the strengths and challenges as well as accommodations for each student into formal learning plans. Learning specialists also work closely with families to ensure the best accommodations for each student and navigate the application process for accommodations on standardized tests. Ideal candidates would have several years of experience working with students with learning disabilities. Masters in Special Education preferred.
