Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Upper School Mathematics Leave Replacement Teacher. This position requires knowledge of and practice in constructivist teaching methods, varied assessment methods and tools, and student-centered, interdisciplinary pedagogy. Qualified applicants will have experience teaching at the upper school level, differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners and incorporating technology in the classroom. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for teaching mathematics; a love for learning and working with students, families, and colleagues; professionalism; and a sense of humor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Teaching: 

• Teach a total of 4 sections of Advanced Geometry and Algebra 2
• Work with students on an individual basis, as need be
• Keep accurate grades, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress consistently throughout the school year

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Co-advise a club or activity and supervise periodic study hall
• Demonstrate energetic commitment to professional development
• Attend and contribute to meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to departmental, committee, divisional and grade-level meetings
• Attend community events throughout the school year
