Georgetown Day School seeks an experienced Advancement Systems & Data Reports Manager to start as soon as possible. The selected individual will ensure data integrity, and provide system innovation and expertise to our robust team of Advancement professionals. Reports to: This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Continually evolve a strategic plan for ensuring accurate data across the Georgetown Day School database systems, primarily Raiser’s Edge and Blackbaud’s Education Management Solutions
- In a timely and accurate manner, adhering to gift policies and procedures, perform the entry of gifts and commitments, produce pledge reminders, and provide acknowledgement/receipt of all philanthropic donations
- Work collaboratively with the School’s Business Office to manage and reconcile income records
- Prepare Advancement’s materials for the annual audit, 990 tax form, INDEX and DASL surveys, and provide requested statistics for the School’s website
- Create and produce data output documents to support the reporting requirements of our fundraising programs; assist colleagues in the production/running of reports
- Develop reports and provide accurate analysis of fundraising goals, historic donor information, etc. for the Board of Trustees, Head of School, Chief Advancement Officer, and Business Office as needed
- Perform data imports: review, clean, and standardize source data; create and run import files; perform quality control and correct inconsistencies after import to maintain data integrity
- Constantly identify, create, and lead the implementation of solutions for Raiser’s Edge clean-up and standardization
- Manage the list production process for prospecting, solicitations, mailings, analytical reports, and institutional event invitations
- Provide timely and courteous responses to inquiries from donors and other constituents; confirming receipt of contributions, investigating discrepancies between donor records and Raiser’s Edge, etc.
- Work with the School’s Data Architect to explore options and develop the strategy to integrate all of the School’s database systems
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in computer systems and software
- Experience working in a nonprofit fundraising environment is a plus
- Certification or equivalent level experience with fundraising software, preferably Raiser’s Edge
- Desire to manage a well-ordered and effective CRM database
- Ability to collaborate with other data-driven School offices and departments on the coordination of school-wide data flow
- Ability to comfortably juggle multiple priorities and changing circumstances; organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines with a proven record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills with all constituents and colleagues
- Outstanding analytical and mathematical skills
- Complete discretion with highly confidential information
- Ability and willingness to learn and utilize new applications/methods as necessary in order to complete work as efficiently as possible
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with trustees, administration, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and students
- Commitment to collegiality, teamwork, and ethical fundraising practices
- Availability to periodically work outside of the normal schedule for early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations
- Ability to manage database from offsite when necessary
