Lake Highland is seeking a Distance Learning & Design Specialist to work in collaboration with the Distance Learning Coordinator PK-12 in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the school’s distance learning and online learning programs, including the second semester (Spring 2021) of our Digital Campus. Reporting to the Distance Learning Coordinator PK-12, the Distance Learning & Design Specialist will serve as the first line of support for our current Digital Campus students and families, along with the development and implementation of online education for students in grades PK-12 at Lake Highland Preparatory. Primary responsibilities include assessing online instruction design and supporting student success in online coursework. As a member of the Technology Department, the Distance Learning & Design Specialist will also be responsible for providing basic technical support for online students and teachers. Qualified applicants should hold a valid Florida teaching certificate, 3+ years of teaching experience with at least 1 year online teaching experience, knowledge in instructional design, and proficiency in designing courses in Canvas. This is a 12-month position.
