Position Description and Requirements

St. Johns Country Day School, an independent college preparatory school, is seeking an experienced academic leader to fill the role of Biology teacher, capable of teaching at the introductory, honors, and AP levels. The ideal candidate will be an expert in both the field of biology and the craft of teaching and will be fully capable of taking the lead role with respect to the Biology program.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for being a role model by maintaining an environment that fosters respect among students and colleagues.
• Create a secure and stimulating environment in which students grow in both autonomy and the ability to work and interact together.
• Design and conduct laboratory activities.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the broader community by participating in the life of the School outside the classroom.
