Position Requirements - Bachelor’s degree with a preference for degrees in science;
- Prior teaching experience is expected, preference will be given to candidates with experience at independent schools and at the middle school level;
- Exhibits excellent communication skills, supportive attitude, and passion for teaching;
- Participates in departmental curriculum development, vision and pedagogy;
- Displays a commitment to a student-focused approach to the teaching profession;
- Familiarity with computers and expertise in the use of technology to enhance instruction is neccesary. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Google Apps for Education Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms, etc.), online and virtual teaching platforms, and be able to learn to use other applications and hardware (Apple TV, On Record, Blackboard, etc.).
