There is some flexibility in assignment based on the candidate’s strengths. Trinity’s mathematics program aims to help our students become better mathematicians, more creative and confident learners, successful collaborators, and flexible thinkers. The Upper School integrated math program strives to provide a classroom environment in which students are expected to participate actively, think creatively, communicate effectively, learn from mistakes, take risks, and embrace challenges. The Middle School curriculum transitions students from elementary mathematics by building upon strong foundational concepts, expanding the breadth of conceptual knowledge, and deepening their understanding of problem solving. Both programs are dedicated to whole-child developmental practices. The math program is seeking an energetic educator to join our highly collaborative mathematics teaching team. We seek thoughtful and creative educators who are comfortable teaching a problem-based curriculum in a collaborative classroom environment dedicated to equality, equity, and social justice. - be dedicated to a collaborative teaching, learning, and working environment.
- demonstrate a whole-hearted commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- demonstrate commitment to an equitable classroom culture inclusive of varied student experiences.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated teacher and lifelong learner, evidenced by a history of engaging in professional development, with a passion for mathematics who thinks and cares deeply about how students learn while embodying and inspiring the habits of mind that our program aims to instill in our students. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate: - evidence of exemplary teaching of mathematics.
- strong expertise in curriculum content and pedagogical theory.
- completion of a secondary mathematics teaching credential.

- collegial approachability, intellectual curiosity, openness to new ideas, an eagerness to engage with others, and a sense of humor.

In addition, the School seeks candidates eager to support a mission driven, multi-faceted educational program designed to address the needs of the “whole person.” Successful candidates promise to serve as an advisor, to make some significant contribution to the school community beyond the mathematics classroom, and to exemplify the virtues the School hopes to instill in its students. An Equal Opportunity Employer, Trinity School seeks candidates who will add to the diversity of our school community. More than this, Trinity is expressly committed to becoming an anti-racist institution and is calling on all members of its community to join in this important work.
