Cardinal Gibbons High School is a vibrant and mission-driven Catholic high school located in the Diocese of Raleigh that instills in its students the core tenets of faith, service, and leadership and seeks an innovative, enterprising individual to serve as its next Director of Admissions, effective July 1, 2021. The Director leads strategic enrollment management planning, all admissions processes and records, marketing initiatives, financial aid budgeting, as well as all retention and re-enrollment efforts. The Director inherits a highly successful admissions program that has led to a 30% growth in enrollment in the past 15 years. Reporting directly to the Head of School and collaborating regularly with the CFO and Director of Advancement, communications staff, and Assistant Principals, the Director is a member of the Senior Administrative Team and helps to nurture and sustain Gibbons’ distinctive culture, as well as helping to craft the School’s next strategic plan. The Director must be a strong proponent of Catholic education and work to advance Catholic social justice initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: - Successfully enroll students into grades 9-11 that reflect Gibbons’ mission and commitment to academic excellence and Catholic identity.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of admissions' events including, but not limited to:
- Open House, Incoming 9th Grade Families Welcome Reception, Transfer Night, Placement Testing Days, Freshman Parent Orientation, Campus ‘shadow’ visit program
- Evolve current policies and practices pertaining to Educator involvement during Admissions process;
- Manage and collaborate with the Director of Communications and Director of Advancement to develop brand identity and messaging for Gibbons through school publications, webpages, admissions materials, and other media vehicles
- Update content on admissions webpages, relevant to Gibbons’ current events and admissions timeline/deadlines
- Manage all aspects of design and production of admissions viewbook, application forms (online and print), and other promotional pieces
- Cultivate relationships with Triangle school directors
- Develop long-term strategies and implementation plans in accordance with enrollment priorities and the mission of Gibbons and articulate admissions priorities and philosophy.
- Understand current research, demographics, and admission and enrollment trends, ensuring that changes and challenges are anticipated, understood, and addressed.
- Maintain statistical and trend data related to enrollment, assessing student demographic data to ensure alignment with the School’s mission
- Effectively and supportively manage the Admissions office, as well as an extensive network of parent and student volunteers to foster an inclusive and participatory community
