Minimum Qualifications: - Demonstrated commitment to the school’s mission, values, and philosophy, especially related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the environment.
- A bachelor’s degree and seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job are required.
- Demonstrated commitment to and engagement in topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and community settings.
- Knowledge and understanding of historical roots of individual, institutional, and systemic challenges to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Experience developing and achieving strategic goals as well as creating programs related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to adapt work and programs to the needs of diverse audiences that one would expect to encounter in a 6-12 grade setting.
Preferred Qualifications: An ideal candidate will possess the following: - An advanced Degree.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and execute long term strategic vision.
- The capacity to nurture creative new ideas with practical applications.
- Experience leading community conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience developing curriculum, pedagogy, and andragogy for middle and high school students, as well as adults.
- Demonstrated ability to draw on an organizations history to inform new programs.
- Initiative.
