Founded in 1952, Norwood School is a coeducational, independent day school with approximately 450 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Norwood School is seeking an experienced, dynamic elementary grades Art Teacher for the 2021-2022 academic year. Strong applicants will have demonstrated the ability to implement a fine arts curriculum for students of all abilities while providing activities that promote personal expression and growth as well as an appreciation for global art history. Candidates should have knowledge of effective artistic techniques and practices including experience providing instruction in drawing, painting, mixed media collage, fiber arts, sculpture and ceramics. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to provide authentic differentiated artistic instruction and classroom management while working closely with children to build a positive sense of self and skills for each student. This position will report directly to the Head of the Lower School. |
