Qualifications: 

• Masters in Early Childhood or Elementary Education or Bachelors in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
• Significant classroom teaching experience; 5 year minimum preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills and organizational skills
• Outstanding written skills for communication and documentation, including written narrative reports Knowledge about and experience with developmental, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the primary early grades
• Experience with early reading and mathematical instructional strategies
• Experience in and commitment to developing one’s own cultural competency and seeking, continually, greater levels of diversity, equity and inclusion in practices and curricula
• Ability to work successfully with colleagues on a team
• Flexibility, tact and grace in talking with parents
• Ability to integrate subject matter
