Summary: The Shipley School seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Crew Coach to collaborate with the Director of Rowing to organize and manage the interscholastic rowing teams competing in Friends Schools League. In this role, the Assistant Coach will also contribute to organizing and delivering developmental programs for grades 6-12 that inspire a lifelong love for the sport of rowing. Responsibilities: - Assists the Head Coach with all practice sessions and competitions.
- Assist in the oversight of the program for grades 6-12, and coach the varsity team.
- Attend all contests, including weekend events through Championships including traveling to and from off-site locations (practice or contests) with student-athletes.
- Instruct and demonstrate skills and techniques necessary to develop athletic achievement in the sport.
- Supervise out-of-season training and conditioning opportunities.
- Ensure a positive environment free of hazing, harassment, bullying and intimidating language. and behaviors - aligned with our Community Commitment.
- Recruit student athletes of all ages for application to Shipley.
