St. Margaret’s School is seeking a Director of Admission to lead the process of attracting and enrolling mission-appropriate students.  The ideal candidate must have an enthusiasm for the varied responsibilities of a thriving professional in an all girls boarding school, be a strategic thinker, a hard worker, and committed to serving the mission of St. Margaret’s School. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Overseeing the entire admission process for the school. 
• Ensuring admission endeavors support academic, co-curricular, and strategic goals of the school.
• Engaging in professional development focused upon diversity and inclusion with SMS colleagues and applying fundamentals to the admission process. 
• Collaborating with the Advancement team on communications and marketing strategies.
• Chairing the Financial Aid Committee and sustaining a collaborative relationship with the Business Office. 
• Organizing the Admission team to create a clear vision for admission work at SMS as well as crafting a plan to achieve this vision. 
• Networking with educational consultants and other community stakeholders to ensure the mission of SMS and proven successes are celebrated. 
• Acting as the community resource on the admission philosophy and priorities.
• Acting as a residential faculty member including 1 night weekly of residential duty and 8-9 weekends per school year of weekend duty. (Adjustments may be made based on admission travel schedule.)
• Fostering a boarding school mentality of teamwork and belonging.
