Germantown Academy, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for a full-time position of Upper School History Teacher, beginning August, 2021. This is a 10-month position which offers an excellent array of benefits and a highly competitive salary. The Academy, founded in 1759, is a non-sectarian, coeducational, college preparatory school of more than 1,100 students in Grades PK-12, located in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia on a campus of 126 acres. Specific duties for History teaching position include: - Preparing and teaching four sections total of World History 9 and World History 10.
- Attending and participating in regularly scheduled department meetings, as well as World History 9 and World History 10 team meetings.
- Collaborating with and learning from members of both World History 9 and World History 10 teams.
- Ability to serve as an Advisor to 8-10 Upper School students
- Participating in Upper School life in meaningful ways outside the classroom (coaching, leading extracurriculars, etc.)
