Porter-Gaud School is searching for a Systems Support Specialist to begin work as soon as possible for a full-time, 12-month position with the school. Porter-Gaud School is an Episcopal, independent, coeducational day school with 1050 students in grades 1 -12. Porter-Gaud also includes a pre-school, The O’Quinn Schools of Porter-Gaud, on two separate campuses serving 620 students in 2-year old through 5K programs. Position responsibilities: We are seeking a Systems Support Specialist who is innovative, proactive, and team oriented to work in our technology department to support the faculty, staff, administration, and students in advancing their use of technology. The primary focus of this position will be to help support the school’s infrastructure and end users' access to the network. Other duties include but will not be limited to: - Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the network environment including the firewall, switches, servers, wifi and phone system.
- Work with the department to fully utilize the school’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to manage Apple (JAMF) and Windows (Intune) devices.
- Help oversee accounts in Active Directory, Google GSuite and Azure.
- Help manage the desktop system. Manage, assign, and respond (in person and remotely) to incoming requests into the campus helpdesk system.
- Coordinate the deployment of security related products and the annual/ongoing employee security awareness training program.
- Assist in management of technology inventory.
- Proactively evaluate emerging technologies and their relevance to supporting our community.
- Assume other duties as necessary and assigned by the IT Director.
