Job Summary: The Admission Outreach Coordinator will be a full-time member of the Admission Team with the responsibility of driving increased engagement and interest in New Hampton School through a variety of communication strategies. Collaborating with the Communications Office, the position will oversee the implementation of automation software specific to managing electronic leads, and manage admission marketing content including email campaigns, and admission collateral. This individual will work closely with the Communication Office to manage admission pages of the website, updating annually and as necessary throughout the admission cycle. In addition, approximately 25 percent of the position will include other responsibilities related to admission work including interviews with prospective students, event support, limited travel, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management. Job Parameters: The Admission Outreach Coordinator position is a year-round, full-time, exempt agreement with benefits in accordance with the School Policy. This position requires travel and weekend hours as determined by the Director of Enrollment Management General Expectations: The Admission Outreach Coordinator enjoys working with adolescents and possesses a welcoming and professional demeanor. He/she represents knowledge of NHS academic and co-curricular programs. He/she is team oriented, enjoys working collaboratively, and yet can take independent initiative to take on tasks. The Admission Outreach Coordinator will work with the Admission Team as well as interface with other offices and departments within the school community. He/she will represent NHS with grace and diplomacy whether on campus or on the road. The Admission Outreach Coordinator is open to professional development and growth opportunities. He/she is institutionally minded. The Admission Outreach Coordinator must possess the professionalism and discretion necessary in dealing with confidential issues. Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Manage Admission Automation Software - Review activity and leads
- Construct funnel movement & progression
- Communicate data and observations with the Admission Office
- Advise and create content for automation program
Email Management - Create email content, with oversight from Communications Office, for admission email campaigns, special events, and ongoing communications
- Review email activity, open rates, click throughs, etc., to incorporate data and make improvements
Admission Website - Review content annually
- Update general content and edits as needed
- Work with Digital Content Manager to improve organization and layout revisions as needed to admission pages
Online Databases - Review and update online databases annually including school profiles, images, and video content
- Maintain awareness and strategize with Communication Office on lead generation, ad content, ad campaigns, and admission communications
Admission Collateral: - Maintain inventory of admission print materials
- Assist Communication Office with procuring updated content and assessing needs
- Work with Communications Office to design, create, and update admission collateral
- Advise Communications regarding priorities for additional collateral such as video content, acceptance videos, testimonials, etc.
Admission Office Engagement: - Meet prospective students and their families. Learn of candidate’s strengths, weaknesses, interests, and academic Share information about New Hampton School.
- Read applications and supporting materials. Provide evaluation of applicant credentials. Present and serve on Admission Committee.
- Communicate effectively with families and consultants about the value and features of a New Hampton School education.
- Promote New Hampton School to prospective families, feeder schools, educational consultants, and referral organizations both internationally and domestically.
- Follow up with families, students, educators, consultants, and school personnel in timely manner through electronic, hand-written, telephone forms of communication. Formulate and enhance relationships with various constituencies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge: - Bachelor’s degree
- Significant and relevant experience with admission, marketing and enrollment management at independent school, college, or university level
- Outstanding ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with prospective families
- Ability adapt to new software and tools related to communication
- Experience managing and working with adult and student volunteers
- Commitment to teamwork and ability to collaborate with multiple offices align enrollment and communications strategies
- Excellent social media sand computer skills, including email, database management, Excel, word processing, PowerPoint, etc.
- Successfully complete a driving record check and criminal background check
Physical Work Environment: - Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time at a desk or computer workstation, and using repetitive arm, hand and finger movements as required for computer input
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to set priorities as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and other general physical labor
