The John Dewey Academy (JDA) seeks a full-time teacher of a European or classical language, excepting Spanish, to begin in August 2021. We are searching for an engaging, innovative educator who is fluent in and passionate about a European or classical language and its culture. The candidate should inspire deep learning and be attuned to developing the whole student by fostering students’ academic, social, emotional, and moral development. Primary responsibilities include teaching four sections of courses (three levels of a language and an elective) and advising students. In addition, our faculty, clinicians, and staff meet regularly to discuss student progress, collaborate with each other, and develop plans for the program. Our school calendar is year-round, though some flexibility is offered in the summer semester.
