St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School seeks a dynamic Visual Arts Teacher with a commitment to Middle and Upper School arts education in a boarding/day school with a diverse and welcoming Episcopal environment. This is a 10-month, full-time position and reports to the Academic Dean. Duties and Responsibilities will include: - Teaching beginning to advanced levels of 2D and 3D arts courses, including Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, Graphic Design, and Architecture
- Preparing student artwork for on-campus and regional gallery exhibitions
- Assisting students in creating portfolios for college and arts intensive program
applications - Maintaining professional contacts in the visual arts field and staying attuned to changing technologies and methodologies related to the field
- Participating in departmental planning and curricular review
- Coaching and/or teaching in our Afternoon Program
- Assisting with weekend campus activities and supervision
- Serving as an advisor
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
