Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid is responsible for managing enrollment and leading the admission and financial aid programs at Friends Select. In addition, this person serves as a member of the Executive Administrative Council and Administrative Council senior leadership teams and assists with long range and strategic planning for the School. Admission - Prepares, implements and evaluates a comprehensive, mission-appropriate recruitment plan for grades Pre-K through 12 for the purpose of attracting, selecting, enrolling, and retaining highly qualified students
- Sets annual admission targets in accordance with the School’s mission, as well as enrollment needs and goals
- Maintains statistical and trend reports related to admission, enrollment, financial aid, and long-term modeling
- Oversees outreach, retention, market research, and recruitment strategies for both domestic and international students
- Manages various admission activities including committee work, events, publications and relationships with feeder schools
- Provides statistical analysis and prepares reports for the Head of School and Board
- Supervises all departmental personnel
Financial Aid - Organizes, evaluates, and administers the School’s financial aid program and budget in conjunction with the Director of Financial Operations
- Evaluates financial aid requests from current and prospective families using data submitted through School and Student Services (SSS) and makes grant recommendations to the Financial Aid Committee
- Plans, implements, and communicates financial aid programs and procedures to current and prospective families
- Works with the Development Office to assist in the distribution of gifts based on donor restrictions and intent
The ideal candidate has the following: - Bachelor’s degree
- Seven or more years of admission and financial aid experience with direct knowledge of enrollment management practices.
- Experience evaluating financial aid requests based on data submitted through a parent financial statement or a similar financial evaluative process
- Familiarity with Blackbaud or a related admission management software system, as well as general proficiency in Excel and other technologies
- A commitment to social justice and anti-racism
