EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in fundraising; preference will be given to individuals who have worked in development or alumni relations at an independent school, particularly in a boarding school environment. Experience in event planning and coordination, international travel and/or experience working with constituents in a diverse global community, and the ability to multitask, take direction, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential to this position. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write reports and correspond accurately and in a timely manner; ability to speak before groups of parents, alumni, students, and/or donors; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL and/or TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to work in and access information through electronic Development/Alumni database, as well as Excel, Word, and other programs as needed. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: California driver's license preferred.
