| PURPOSE OF POSITION: We seek an experienced and energetic Middle School Math Teacher to step into our mini middle and middle school mathematics program. The teacher will be expected to collaborate on projects with teachers across the mini middle & middle school. Students learn to think and work like mathematicians by developing and solving mathematical problems. TITLE: Middle School Math Teacher REPORTS TO: Associate Head of School/ Middle School Head DEPARTMENT: Middle School STATUS: 10-month, exempt employee HOURS: School year hours: Monday - Friday, 7:40 am - 4:00 pm: On days that you have morning carpool duty, faculty or department meeting, you need to report to school by 7:30 am. Attendance at school events may be required. RELATIONSHIPS: The position will work closely with the administrative team, faculty, parents, and students to accomplish the essential duties and responsibilities noted below. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (this list represents highlights): • Integrate technology meaningfully in lessons and units of study • Assess children's progress and issue reports • Lead the delivery and development of the math curriculum for students in middle school • Communicate proactively with families • Collaborate with middle school colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects and curriculum alignment • Actively engage in the life of the school community |
