Instructional Technology Coordinator Riverside Presbyterian Day School, an independent co-educational elementary (PreK 3 – 6th Grade) day school located in Jacksonville, FL seeks a full-time Instructional Technology Coordinator for the 2020-2021 academic year. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Instructional Technology Coordinator will facilitate the integration of technology in the instructional program by providing professional development, supporting instruction, and serving as a resource that will help increase technology literacy in our school. The position will support Riverside Presbyterian Day School faculty, staff, students, and parents in the appropriate use of instructional and educational technologies. The ideal candidate will engage, lead and participate with faculty, staff, and students in one-on-one consultations, workshops, and training sessions. The position will also assist in the evaluation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of academic technology. A strong background in educational technology, user training/support and technology integration into the curriculum using the SAMR framework is preferred. The candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills and a background in education. The candidate will also actively participate in faculty meetings and regularly meet with grade level teams. The roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows: - Prepare technology training materials and deliver effective hands-on training sessions for student and adult learners of all skill levels and abilities.
- Identify the technology training needs of the instructional staff and deliver appropriate training on hardware, software and methods of integrating technology into the curriculum.
- Researches emerging teaching and learning technologies, initiatives and trends to provide ideas, guidance, and recommendations to faculty and staff.
- Actively meet, plan, and co-teach with classroom teachers using a variety of educational technology tools.
- Assist with and troubleshoot the use of interactive boards, multimedia systems, Apple TVs, document cameras and other technologies used for teaching and learning.
- Provide technical support for basic to advanced software, hardware, phone & network problems.
- Provide support to our 1:1 iPad program using a Mobile Device Management platform.
- Installing and maintaining computer equipment and systems.
- Prepare and maintain systems documentation.
- Other related duties as assigned.
