Details Posted: February 17, 2021 Location: Wynnewood, Pennsylvania Show Map Type: Full Time - Administration Category: Technology Required Education: 4 Year Degree Director of Educational Technology and Innovation The Director of Educational Technology & Innovation reports to the Director of Curriculum & Instruction. They are responsible for all curricular issues relating to technology at the school and will assist the faculty in integrating appropriate and innovative technologies to support, enhance, and extend learning. They will collaborate closely with the department of information technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Director of Educational Technology & Innovation will: Spearhead technology initiatives that support teaching and learning. Research and evaluate new and emerging educational technologies, remaining mindful of maintaining the school’s academic mission. Collaborate with academic departments/discipline-specific coordinators and the Director of Technology on specific needs and growth opportunities. Develop, coordinate, and teach workshops and classes on instructional and administrative applications of various technologies. Provide technical curriculum assistance regarding device usage, software applications, and the general instructional use of technology in the classroom. Assist in the deployment and integration of age-/grade-appropriate technology applications across the school. Establish systems for educators to access, preview, or receive training in hardware usage and software applications. Assist with the development of, and participate in, technology user groups. Communicate information about training services and research, including preparing memos and making presentations, accompanied by handouts and/or training manuals. In conjunction with the school's technology department, support and troubleshoot problems relating to hardware and software. Promote the effort to stay current with technological knowledge and skills. Serve as a liaison of technology to the department chairs, division coordinators, academic and administrative teams. Network with local, regional, and national technology associations. Facilitate personal growth through professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred, in Curriculum Design, Educational Technology, or similar discipline. 3+ years of experience in curriculum coordination or educational technology. Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology hardware, software, and related web-based or other tools, information technology, systems management, as well as network development and management. Demonstrated success working with faculty in all disciplines to identify instructional needs to enable/enhance student learning. Classroom teaching experience. Proven experience as a personnel supervisor. Fluency and comfort with Apple operating systems, including Mac and iPads. Fluency and proficiency with Google Apps for Education as well as Google Drive, Docs, Slides and Sheets. Strong supervisory, organizational, technical, and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Problem solver. Able to work collaboratively. Passionate about working in a multidisciplinary environment.
