- Experience teaching math, reading, writing, and social studies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities: - Prepare differentiated instruction to teach students with diverse learning needs
- Engage in inclusive instruction that welcomes diverse identities and backgrounds to the learning environment
- Manage social and emotional development of first grade students guided by a Responsive Classroom model
- Teach Writers’ Workshop, reading, spelling, math, and social studies to first grade students in whole groups and in small groups
- Co-plan lessons with grade level teaching partner
- Work collaboratively with grade level teaching partner to oversee the grade
- Manage both in-person and online instructional environments
- Complete student progress reports
- Supervise lunch, recess, arrival and dismissal, and perform other duties as assigned
