The Upper Campus, which houses Grades 4-9, seeks a part-time Reading and Learning Specialist for the 2021-2022 school year. Preferred applicants will enjoy working in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Palm Beach Day Academy welcomes candidates of diverse backgrounds. Qualified applicants will be ready to provide individual and small group reading instruction utilizing the Wilson Reading System, as well as facilitating learning support for students in Grades 4 and 5. A Master’s Degree in Reading and/or certification as a Reading Specialist as well as Wilson Reading System Certified Instructor (Level One or Two) or Orton-Gillingham Instructor (Classroom Educator or Certified Level) are prerequisites for the position. Ideal candidates have some familiarity with educational-psychological/neurological testing results analysis and the creation of accommodation plans for students, as well as experience working with students with learning differences.
