Details Posted: February 19, 2021 Location: Pensacola, Florida Show Map Type: Full Time - Administration Category: Development/Fund Raising Required Education: 4 Year Degree Creative Learning Academy, an independent day school serving students from 3 years old through 8th grade, seeks an enthusiastic professional with experience in fundraising to be our next Director of Advancement. In this position, you will be in charge of fundraising, constituency relations, volunteer management and special events. You will work closely with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to shape CLA’s future growth. The ideal candidate: Understands what makes fundraising in a school setting unique and deeply worthwhile. Knows the alignment of vision and mission are essential to a school’s successful fundraising. Is simultaneously bold and practical, ambitious and in-the-trenches, adaptable and adaptive. Understands fundraising isn’t merely about dollars and cents, but also grand vision and soaring aspiration. Is an innovator with a can-do attitude. Is a collaborator eager to work with dedicated colleagues to celebrate the past success of the school and secure the future. Understands what a small shop means; will work independently, and able to pitch in as needed...however needed. Can build authentic relationships. Can work with spreadsheets, analyze numbers, and do prospect research. An accurate database is a friend you can’t live without. Finds small details as engaging as big-picture strategy and analysis. Wants to be part of a growing child-centered community that embodies academic excellence and character development in a culturally enriched environment. Specific responsibilities of the job include: Helping develop strategies for leadership giving and solicitation efforts that promote the long-term viability and growth of the school. Create, execute, and manage annual giving strategies, communications, and solicitations to grow our current annual fund participation and dollars. Develop and implement a capital giving campaign and planned giving program. Organize, produce, and maintain materials and data relating to annual fund and other fundraising campaigns. Create and execute special events appropriate to overall annual giving strategies. With the school leadership, design and maintain the stewardship and cultivation of all donors and volunteers.
