Crystal Springs Uplands School seeks a full-time Associate Director of College Counseling starting no later than July 1, 2021. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in independent school college counseling or college admissions. A Bachelor’s degree is required. A successful candidate in this position will: ? Exhibit a passion for counseling students, with a wide range of academic and extracurricular interests and abilities, as they identify college options at which they will thrive intellectually and personally ? Commit to working with students and parents from a variety of different backgrounds; be able to see and celebrate the potential in every student ? Work collaboratively with approximately one third of each graduating class (~30 students and their parents/guardians), the College Counseling team, and school colleagues ? Be well-versed on the college admission landscape and current trends; be comfortable with data analysis and data management platforms ? Maintain and cultivate relationships with college admission officers, during their visits to campus as well as through travel to colleges and professional conferences in order to represent CSUS and to develop professionally ? Demonstrate strong communication skills; be a close and active listener, compelling and articulate speaker, and effective writer ? Be emotionally intelligent, energetic, empathetic, optimistic, organized, good humored, collaborative, collegial, and confident ?
