Description: Connelly School of the Holy Child is looking to hire a Dance Teacher to join our vibrant performing arts program. The instructor will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students (Grades 6-12) in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance. Responsibilities: - Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level
- Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers, administrators, and students.
- Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and showcases.
- Conduct after-school group lessons as required.
- Join the dance festivals presented by AIMS and the Independent Dance Network
- Respond to the needs of Holy Child, including service learning, advisory program, assigned supervision and other duties as assigned.
- An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.
- Effective and consistent communication with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Develop, select, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population.
