Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - the ability to teach 7th grade world geography, focusing on the 5 themes of geography, and middle school English courses.
- act as an advisor to a group of students.
- fulfill an additional duty as assigned by the Middle School Division Head.
- perform other duties as assigned by, and in support of, the Head of School.
The candidate will possess the following: - the ability to connect with students to develop healthy and supportive relationships.
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- the ability to collaborate easily and openly with others while also being self-directed.
- excellent judgment and responsiveness.
- the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- facility with technology and online education tools.
- possess an innovative, growth mindset.
- knowledge of inquiry based pedagogy including project-based learning and other progressive approaches.
- knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and commitment to ongoing growth in this area.
Education & Experience: - a bachelor’s degree in English, history or a comparable field, with a master’s degree preferred.
