The Associate Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving leads and implements the School’s annual giving program (“Bullis Fund”) to support a diverse and vicarious culture of giving and gratitude across all constituencies and socio-economic strata. The Associate Director is responsible for coordinating the annual schedule of solicitation focusing on targeted fundraising segmentations; maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database of all contributors; and maintaining records of receipts and disbursement of funds. The position solicits prospects Annual Fund donors; recruits, trains, and oversees the Bullis Fund Ambassador group, class representatives, and volunteers. The Associate Director works closely with the communication team to create and disseminate an array of effective and engaging communications and marketing materials to encourage community involvement. The position also provides strategic counsel and activity in the areas of alumni relations and annual giving. The Associate Director strengthen relationships with the School’s alumni to further develop the alumni program through fundraising, events, capital campaigns, and other advancement projects. This is a 12-month position beginning July 2021 and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends. Qualified candidates should possess the following experience and qualifications: -
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience -
Commitment to using professional role to further the creation of an equitable and inclusive school community -
Five + year of experience in fundraising required, with experience in an educational setting preferred -
Prior experience with direct solicitation and volunteer management -
Prior experience with donor prospect management methods and relevant software -
Must be able to work some nights and weekends -
Must be able to exchange accurate information in a professional manner with alumni, parents, students, faculty, and other professionals -
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information -
