QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will have demonstrated the following experience and abilities: - Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, assessment, and classroom management practices.
- Knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy, differentiation, and assessment with the ability to implement quality, inclusive teaching, and learning programs.
- A depth of knowledge in mathematical problem solving, reasoning and proof, mathematical communication, and technology.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, parents, staff, and colleagues.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning.
- Desire to pursue ongoing professional development, making the most of the opportunities both within and outside the school to improve teaching and to demonstrate for the girls the value of lifelong learning.
- To demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm for teaching and learning, striving to engender a joy of learning in all students.
- A passion for developing deep conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as student application of concepts learned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education or Mathematics, with a graduate degree, preferred.
- Experience teaching at both the upper and middle school level, preferably at an all-girls school.
- Understanding or growing knowledge of competency-based teaching and learning
