Candidates should have: - A Bachelors degree in a field related to education or science, Masters preferred
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in Lower School Science
- Experience in designing and implementing a wide range of science curriculum for grade 1-5
- Demonstrated background in science either through coursework or work experience
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Familiarity with Next Generation Standards (NGSS) philosophy and standards, able to work in the four domains of science at all grade levels (life science, physical science, earth/space science, technology/engineering)
- Experienced in designing and implementing a wide range of science curriculum for grades 1-5
- Experience with Responsive Classroom preferred but not required
- Strengths in working collaboratively with colleagues in the classroom and the wider community
- Strong written and communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage a wide range of resources
