Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 530 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 107-acre campus seeks an exceptional Transportation Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the transportation program including daily ridership, bus routes, summer programs, field trips, and sports activities. Our fleet currently has 9 large buses and 11 mini-buses. supervise and manage all day-to-day facilities needs. Professional and Personal Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role
• CDL license required. PS endorsement preferred or obtain within 30 days of hire
• A high school diploma or GED required
• 3 years previous experience related to transportation operations
• An attitude that exemplifies teamwork and personal responsibility
• Proficient with computer software including email, calendar, google suite, payroll systems, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for work with all school constituencies

• Model school virtues of respect, compassion, courage, and integrity
• Communicate (orally and in writing) effectively with all school constituencies

Duties

• Oversee all daily bus routes
• Responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of the entire fleet through vendors or in-house
• Train teachers, coaches, and staff on proper driving skills.
• Collect registration data and assess transportation needs
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local transportation laws
• Communicate with parents and external parties concerning transportation matters
• Assist in the implementation of procedures for the department.
• Supervise and evaluate bus driving staff
• Manage external bus rentals

The salary range for this position is $45,000-65,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience and relevant skills. This position will be 30 – 40 hours per week, depending on the desire of the candidate. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, and generous time-off.
