Position Summary

The individual is responsible for: Establishing and managing the School’s financial system, including planning, controlling and achieving results. Establishing and managing the information system including infrastructure, end user support, security and data quality. Developing their team. Contributing to a high functioning senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of School, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees to maintain and enhance the organization’s business model
• Engage with the Board to seek advice, while developing their understanding of the critical issues and opportunities
• Develop an annual planning and budgeting process that engages and informs key constituents
• Ensure that financial resources are allocated to support high value, mission aligned projects, people and facilities
• Regularly monitor and report actual financial performance to enable decision making to leadership team, Board and other stakeholders
• Oversee all financial transactions
• Build financial competence in leaders across the organization
• Establish a Financial Aid plan and partner with Admissions to allocate
• Develop and manage the financial organization, ensuring the resources are in place to meet the function’s objectives
• Create monthly reporting package for all constituents
• Direct corporate treasury activities, including the care and custody of financial assets
• Manage the annual audit engagements and liaise with other third parties, including banks, authorities and other service providers
• Continuously identify and mitigate financial, regulatory, contractual or ethical risks
• Evaluate, communicate, and execute cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Establish and implement the IT strategic plan so that the IT infrastructure, security and tools are in place for current and future users
  • Define IT policies and processes that ensure consistently high data quality in all systems
  • Manage the day to day operation of the IT systems to meet the needs of all stakeholders
