This is a full-time, non-exempt position within the Development department reporting to the Director of Annual Giving. Major Responsibilities: The Associate Director of Annual Giving supports the overall operation of the Annual Giving program of the school. Responsibilities include specific components of the direct mail program, growth of volunteer involvement, and data analysis. - Manage the School's direct mail and digital fundraising program: assist in the development of the annual theme and writing of appeals; supervise all components of each mailing; provide direction and support to both parent and alumni volunteers in the Annual Giving solicitation process; oversee data management, list generation, and data manipulation and clean up.
- Manage a portfolio of 20-25 annual giving prospects, providing ongoing stewardship and cultivation.
- Organize the planning and execution of the annual Day of Giving.
- Perform ongoing analysis of fundraising progress to inform strategy and develop and execute benchmarking projects involving peer schools. This includes year-to-year stats, donor to donor analysis, and pyramids.
- Develop strategies for increased donor retention and participation campaigns, including mail, phone, and personal solicitations.
- Generate and proofread donor recognition data and lists for the annual Report of Gifts.
Additional general responsibilities include - Educate constituencies about the importance of supporting the School.
- Help to identify prospects and volunteers for capital fundraising efforts.
- Maintain annual giving program supplies with the support of the Development Administrative Coordinator.
- Support and staff events run by the Development Office, including but not limited to Spring Auction, Secret Gardens, and Alumni Weekend.

- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Possess three to five years' prior experience in non-profit fundraising, including annual campaigns; an equivalent combination of education and volunteer experience will be considered
- Possess superior attention to detail, facile use of technology, ability to proactively anticipate and efficiently solve problems, powerful organizational skills, and strong self-motivation
- Be able to work independently on projects, as well as collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a professional team, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Though not required, familiarity with independent schools and an understanding of the role of development work in support of independent school education are a plus
