| Clairbourn School is hiring a full-time Spanish Teacher. Contract to begin August 1, 2021.
Clairbourn School, conveniently located at an idyllic setting in the San Gabriel Valley, is actively seeking a Spanish teacher for 6th-8th grade or K-5th for the 2021-2022 school year. Appropriate candidates will feel comfortable teaching Spanish levels in conversation, reading, writing, and grammar. A working knowledge of the TPRS is beneficial, as is experience in the use of technology in the classroom. The position requires flexibility in the subject matter of the courses.
Successful candidates will possess the following: - BA/BS degree
- Teaching credential and/or Master’s degree preferred
- Teaching experience of 3-5 years in independent schools preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- High energy level, creativity, positive attitude, and flexibility
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty to plan and implement curriculum
- Ability to teach all content areas at the assigned grade level
- Ability to foster critical thinking, problem solving, independence, and ethics in students
- Experience with integrating technology in the classroom including interactive whiteboards and iPads
- Ability to successfully develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and school families
- Willingness to support the philosophy of the school
