Burke Mountain Academy seeks a passionate, driven, forward-thinking Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid who will oversee both offices, managing all functions and daily operations. The Director will have previous success and experience in developing and executing strategic enrollment plans and will bring a concrete understanding of data management and analysis to the role. The Director will work closely with the Head of School and leadership to implement the strategic plan as agreed upon by the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees and ensure that enrollment goals align with the school’s overall mission. It is the Director’s job to ensure that each incoming class embodies all three legs of the school: academics, athletics, and high-character values, and continues on the path of the upward trajectory of BMA’s unprecedented excellence. The Director will be an exceptional team player, natural relationship builder, and will have an excellent understanding and experience with the sport of ski racing. Success in the position requires the Director to understand the intricacies of what it takes to be excellent in the unique sport. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enrollment: - Lead the design and execution of the BMA student admission and retention programs, assuring that enrollment decisions support immediate and long-term enrollment goals.
- Implement targeted recruitment initiatives that account for the evolving needs of students and families.
- Create appropriate admission-related marketing and communication materials for all programs.
- Work with the Head of School to create yearly enrollment goals.
- Direct the BMA community in offering an authentic, engaging, and welcoming campus visit experience.
- Remain current in the ski community and communicate changing demographics and the competitive landscape. Lead the community in understanding these changes and challenges, and rally the BMA community to be effective in supporting the BMA core values to support enrollment goals.
Financial Aid: - Direct the Financial Aid program, ensuring revenue optimization while aiming to support every accepted student-athlete to the greatest extent possible financially.
- Work collaboratively with the business manager on the financial aid budget, enrollment contract generation, and financial aid-related communications.
Analytical Projects - Conduct market research of the competitive landscape.
- Leverage data to understand the strengths and areas of improvement of our own program and processes.
- Write, create, and analyze survey data to measure success.
- Work with the strategic planning team to execute analytical projects as BMA works toward launching its capital campaign.
- Effectively collect, analyze, and report enrollment information to the Board of Trustees bi-yearly and communicate insights.
- Use data to inform strategic decisions, establish and monitor key performance indicators, benchmark progress and program outcomes, monitor trends, identify opportunities, and adjust direction and tactics.
Camps - Lead the design and execution of BMA’s December Development Camp and other camps that include non-BMA athletes.
- Create appropriate marketing and communication materials.
- Work with the Head of School to create yearly goals for BMA camps.
