Position Statement
San Domenico School, a K-12 independent school in San Anselmo, is seeking a dynamic professional for the role of Upper School Math Teacher for the school year (2022-23).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan lessons and post weekly agendas and resources to school’s online LMS (Canvas) for 4-5 classes.
- Teach lessons in a rotating schedule with both standard and block classes with clear mathematical explanations, interactive lessons, and project-based learning.
- Mentor a small group of about 12 students with weekly meetings, discussions and advising.
- Participate in schoolwide experiential education outings, assemblies and special events, including participation in boarding and co-curricular programming.
- Teaching a combination of lower and upper-division courses, ideally with flexibility to teach through multi-variable calculus.
Core Qualifications:
- BS or higher degree in mathematics, mathematics education
- Classroom and/or online teaching experience
- Teaching credential
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Robotics program
