Teacher with a degree in English, Education, or similar and at least 3 years of experience with, in addition the following skills: familiarity teaching honors students in grades from Middle to High School. Experience creating and reviewing evaluation materials.
Dedicated and student focused teaching English at the Middle/ High School level, including honors classes. Teacher is committed to providing an interactive learning environment. This person will collaborate with all members of the school community to meet the needs of students and to promote and live by the school’s mission and philosophy.
Specifics:
Tasks
- Follow lesson plans to teach English Middle School and High School Honors Classes
- Conduct classroom activities with students based on differentiated learning needs to ensure all students are learning at full potential.
- Participate in ongoing staff training sessions.
Educational vision
- Interdisciplinary courses based on students learning requirements
- Be able to implement differentiation in the class with the support of – but not dependent on – technology.
- Understanding and prepared to further develop one’s skills in all aspects of Diversity Equity and Inclusion in line with the school’s mission.
- Be cognizant of a teaching and learning environment that fosters equity at all levels.
Student Support
- Individual support, homework help
- Helping students with specific needs.
- Communication with parents, school psychologist.
- Organize parent-teachers conferences to maximize student learning opportunities.
Minimum Educational Requirement & Field/Major (if any): Bachelor’s Degree or its foreign equivalent, Master’s degree preferred.
