COMPENSATION
This is a full-time, academic year position. Salary is dependent on education and experience. St Andrew’s Sewanee School seeks a dedicated, hardworking Athletic Trainer to support our student-athletes. This is a 10-month, full-time position, and reports to the Director of Athletics. This is a 10-month, full-time, exempt position. Outstanding candidates will be self-directed, possess exceptional rapport-building skills, have a generally upbeat and enthusiastic disposition, and enjoy working with adolescents and adults in fostering lives of challenge, balance, and joy.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide sports injury coverage at high school events. This coverage includes on-field/off-field and pre-/post-game care.
- Assist with the treatment of athletes and orthopedic injuries as directed by a physical therapist.
- Provide consultation to coaches, athletes, school nurses, parents, and others, as needed.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and progress notes on patients.
- Train and supervise student athletic trainers.
- Conduct athletic training/sports medicine workshops, as requested.
- Teach middle school physical education classes.
- Serve as a student advisor.
- Support the Health Clinic as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by and in support of the Head of School.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Current athletic training license in Tennessee or working toward it.
- Current certification by and in good standing with the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical athletic training experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year practical athletic training experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level (at least one season of football preferred).
- Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in athletic training.
- CPR Certified.
- Ability to effectively and professionally interact with others, especially the school nurses, coaches, and parents.
- Ability to examine processes, policies, and problems and offer solutions.
- Commitment to St. Andrew’s-Sewanee’s mission and vision and comfort with the tenets of the Episcopal Church
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with members of the SAS community
