School Summary: All Saints Academy was founded in 1966 as St. Paul's Episcopal Parish School under Father Gilbertson and Father Sturrup of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. The school did not adopt its current name until 1993, when the middle and upper school portions of the facility were added, extending the grades serviced to grade twelve.

Position Summary, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities: All Saints Academy, an independent, Episcopal school in Winter Haven, Florida, seeks a full-time Middle and Upper School Digital Arts and Yearbook teacher who will provide comprehensive instruction for Middle and Upper School students. All Saints Academy empowers students to approach Digital Arts and Yearbook classes with confidence and curiosity. Our vision and practices support a growth mindset by teaching students to value mistakes as opportunities for learning, through practice. Our philosophy focuses on valuing the contributions of each class member, inspiring independent and collaborative problem-solving, and helping students make connections to the world. Candidates must have the desire and ability to develop meaningful and productive relationships with motivated students from diverse backgrounds. This teacher should plan to be part of a data-informed, collaborative team; and an integral component of students’ lives, in the classroom, as a department member, and as an advisor. In addition to teaching and advising, All Saints faculty take on supervisory duties, such as club leadership or coaching, as members of a supportive, collaborative learning environment.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement daily instructional and advisory activities at the school, with effective collaboration with the Fine Arts Department.
- Develop and maintain a timeline for the production of the school’s yearbook and to maintain a regular record of progress with the Middle and Upper School Division Head.
- Meet deadlines and budgets for publication of the Yearbook as established by the Middle and Upper School Division Head.
- Assume other responsibilities as requested to do so by the Head of School, including but not limited to the work assigned in carrying out the Strategic Plan.
- Film and edit marketing, archival, and development projects for the School. ? Support the School’s live-streamed events through the use of Blackmagic Web Presenter.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in, but not limited to Google apps; Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word; and Mac operating systems.
- Able to teach others to use software tools used in Graphic Design classes: Adobe Creative Cloud; Photoshop (Yearbook and Photography); InDesign (Yearbook); Premier (Video Production).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Digital Arts degree (or a related field) is required)
- Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate (preferred)
- Minimum of three years experience in working in an educational setting (preferred)
