Sierra Canyon School is a nonprofit, independent, nondenominational, coeducational day school in the northern San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles with an enrollment of 1,150 students in grades PK-12. Admission to Sierra Canyon School is selective. Sierra Canyon School is located on 42 beautiful, rustic acres and has two campuses across the street from each other: the Lower Campus for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth and the state-of-the-art Upper Campus for students in grades Seven through Twelve. The Class of 2022 is Sierra Canyon’s fourteenth graduating senior class.

The Upper Campus of Sierra Canyon School seeks an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Admission. We are looking for an administrator who will support all functions of the Admission Office, reporting to the Director of Admission, and partnering with all members of the Admission team. Duties include but are not limited to:
· Building the pool of inquiries and applications through school visits, fairs, recruiting events, outreach, and the building and maintaining of relationships with feeder schools
· Overseeing the Student Ambassador program and mentoring the student volunteers as they represent their school at numerous on-campus events
· Coordinating and planning campus previews and retention events both in person and online
· Planning and executing the new family “on-boarding” process
· Working with parent volunteers and colleagues in presenting programming to potential families
· With the Director of Admission and Director of Financial Aid, developing and maintaining statistical and benchmarking information
· Working closely with the Director of International Admission in various roles
· Participating in admission related professional development programs and opportunities as appropriate
· Daily campus touring of prospecting families
· Interviewing prospecting students and families, both in-person and online
· Reading and evaluating admission applications and materials
· Serving on the admission committee
QUALIFICATIONS
· An undergraduate degree
· Three years admission experience in a selective, independent school or collegiate setting
· Proficiency in Blackbaud, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom
· Marketing and event planning experience
· Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to multi-task
· The energy to work in a fast-paced, interactive community
· Sense of humor, creative problem solving, and people skills a must
· Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
· Secondary language skills a plus
