Music Teacher
The Parkside School is seeking a dynamic, creative 4 day a week Music Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Our music teacher is responsible for teaching music to all elementary age classes of children at the school; assisting with all drama classes; planning and leading assemblies; preparing students for the annual Arts Festival; and supporting the drama teacher for the duration of rehearsing for the upper school play. In addition to teaching, the music teacher has all the roles and responsibilities that a specialty teacher staff member has, including writing reports; meeting with parents; attending school-wide, department, and team meetings; and supervising students during times designated by the administration. The Music Teacher is responsible for running all classes during the Drama Teacher’s absence.
About The Parkside School:
The Parkside School welcomes elementary school children from diverse ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds who have a range of language-based learning difficulties. We serve the whole child by offering a thoughtfully designed, comprehensive array of academic and support services. At Parkside we strive to identify each child's unique learning style and then nurture their capacity to learn through our program of interdisciplinary teaching, individualized attention and collaborative problem solving.
