Job Summary:
BB&N is seeking a Health and Wellness Education teacher and Curriculum Coordinator. This faculty member will work closely with the Director of Athletics and the Director of Student Support Services. Responsibilities include:
- Lead B-12 Health and Physical Education programming and courses.
- Collaborate with the school counselors, nurses, grade deans and other community members to coordinate and support the B-12 programming for Health and Wellness Education curriculum and experiences.
- Collaborate with several members of the community to enhance wellness programming and to integrate it into all areas of student life as well as into the curriculum.
- Organize and lead collaborative teams of professionals focused on a vision for a healthy approach to wellness, mindfulness, nutrition, social-emotional learning, and other focus areas.
- Coaching a team or athletic activity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree in health education or equivalent area preferred. Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
