Blue School is currently looking for a Middle School Learning Support focused on grades 6-8. We seek an experienced educator who is open and reflective, team-oriented, passionate, and a great communicator. The Learning Specialist will report to the Middle School Director and will work closely with other learning specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to identify individual and group learning goals and adjust lessons to meet those goals
- Design, monitor and deliver differentiated learning instruction and materials
- In-class teacher support for implementing interventions and accommodations
- Individual and small group student support
- Review evaluations with parents and teachers to design support plans; track and oversee the implementation of accommodations as a child progresses through each grade level
- Actively participate in the admissions screening process
- Work as an advisor on the middle school team

Education and Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a learning specialist or special education teacher
