You teach physics and math well because you care deeply about students, think hard about how people learn, and enjoy creating an inspirational classroom environment.

The Jewish Community High School of the Bay needs an amazing teacher like you for the 2022−2023 school year. This position includes two sections of 9th grade Conceptual Physics, one section of AP Physics C: Mechanics, and one section of math.

When you join our innovative math and science department you will:

• teach four classes of students grappling with physics and math

• have time during the school day to prepare great lessons and give students the individual help they need

• be directly involved creating and maintaining a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment

• be supported by an engaged Dean,  Learning Specialists, and School Counselor to help you focus on your teaching

• work alongside colleagues who will both push you to be a better teacher and welcome your help in improving their teaching

• work with supportive administrators who encourage innovative teaching, expect professional growth, and embrace research based pedagogy

• support students and the JCHS community by engaging in life outside the classroom through activities such as club advising, student mentoring and attending school events
