Physics Teacher
Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School seeks a full-time Physics teacher to teach Physics and Engineering elective courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach sections of Physics (11th-12th grade level) and Engineering electives (11th-12th grades).
- Run engaging and well managed lab activities.
- Manage the inventory of chemical substances and laboratory equipment.
- Provide meaningful, individualized feedback and support to students.
- Work closely with colleagues, the department head, and prep school administration to support the academic, social, and emotional well being of all students.
Work Hours
- 7:30am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
- Weekly faculty and department meetings until 4:30pm
- Start date: August, 2022

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or related discipline. An Education degree is preferred.
- Ability to adapt instruction to fit physically distanced, hybrid, and remote learning environments.
- Run well-managed, meaningful, and engaging classes for high school students.
- Experience teaching at the high school level is preferred.
